The purpose of the California Association of Business, Property and Resource Owners (CABPRO) is to provide oversight and input into the important acts and laws of all government entities.

• CABPRO will be active in the elective process both for candidates and issues.
• CABPRO will make itself available to government and non-government entities for the purpose of commenting on, or drafting ordinances, legislation or regulation, and for organizing for or against issues, initiatives, and projects which may affect its members.
• CABPRO will provide accurate and timely information to the public.
• CABPRO will be non-partisan regarding political party affiliation and will be comprised of a select membership.

The economic viability of the State of California and its counties are of vital importance to everyone. Without the energy, creativity and determination of entrepreneurs, business risk-takers, and the people and companies that work the earth in mining, agriculture or timber, it is doubtful that our great nation would be here today.

Over the years more and more regulations have been encouraged by special interest groups and enacted by government to control, restrict and unfairly pressure these endeavors. CABPRO seeks to have our voice heard in the important issues of today and to make a positive difference for our members and our community.

CABPRO supports:

• Reasonable environmental regulations that are balanced with the needs of Human Beings,
• Managed, well-planned growth that provides for all the needs of the community,
• Good development that will provide affordable housing, and short and long term jobs,
• Responsible mining which provides us daily materials for survival without unreasonable restrictions on their operations,
• A vigorous business community that must be relieved of undue government regulation, taxation and fees,
• Responsible timber harvest operations, and
• The respect of property rights as stated in the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.
